Grants Coordinator (1 Year Term, Temp-to-Hire)

The Roddenberry Foundation (TRF) is seeking a Grants Coordinator to support its grantmaking operations and act as liaison between grantees and program and finance staff. The ideal candidate for this role is highly detailed, organized, self-directed, and empathetic. You know how to manage complex paperwork, and find ways to make a human connection – even as you create spreadsheets and review budgets. This candidate is committed to shifting the power imbalance in philanthropy and is excited to serve grantees and changemakers in resource-limited environments.

This role would be responsible for the following:

- Keep filing and grants management tools current to meet legal, auditing and TRF requirements
- Create and manage the grant paperwork process (including: creating grant agreements, filling out due diligence forms in coordination with program staff, and collecting all required documentation for disbursement)
- Tracking the status of all grant payments to assure timely disbursement
- Communicates externally with grantees and stakeholders (including conducting wiring calls to confirm banking details), giving updates on grant payments
- Communicates internally with program and finance staff
- Assures compliance with IRS and foundation-specific regulations for assigned grants
- Undertakes special projects as assigned
