EPIP MICHIGAN PRESENTS: FIND YOUR PEOPLE
July 29th, 3:30-5pm
Wind down from the day with EPIP Michigan at this free, virtual happy hour. Connecting and decompressing with each other is part of our work to build solidarity in the philanthropic community. We are committed to working alongside our community for social justice and racial equity. Police violence, emboldened hate groups, and the disproportionate impacts of Covid-19 are rooted in systemic racism and our field has a responsibility to respond. Let’s check in with each other during this revolutionary moment.
We’ll kick it off with a live performance from Isabel Delgado, a young musician and activist from Grand Rapids with a powerful voice. Our steering committee will host interactive breakout spaces where you’ll get to hone in with your people. During registration, please select two breakouts of your choice.
- Welfare Check-in & Meditation: We’re all carrying a lot right now. Connect in a space for empathy and real talk, where you can be honest about how you’re holding up. We will find rejuvenation and peace through a short closing meditation.
- Creating the New Future: We’re experiencing a global moment of opportunity to reshape our societies. How can our field participate in the creation of a world where health, safety and resources are distributed through an equity lens?
- Keeping Your Career On Track: The global pandemic interrupted many of our plans, including professional development. Join this space for an open conversation about job searching, resume building and career trajectories.
