Co-hosted with PEAK Grantmaking
According to Forbes, the relationship with your boss is the “primary ingredient in job satisfaction.” With different personality types and approaches to projects, the burden is often on you to effectively communicate your work and your worth. Regardless of who your direct supervisor is, there are some practical skills and strategies that can help.
Join us for an interactive discussion on how to effectively manage up and across in your current role. During this session, we’ll go over how to:
• Initiate solutions
• Demonstrate your usefulness and get credit
• Communicate with managers
This session will also explore the ways in which our racial identities affect the experiences of managing up and being managed, and will include affinity group breakouts for deeper discussion.
No one will be turned away for lack of funds, so if the ticket prices above are a concern for you, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we'll add you to the RSVP list.
