Director of Philanthropy

The Women's Funding Network (WFN) invites applications for its Director of Philanthropy position. As the largest global philanthropic alliance dedicated to advancing gender equality and justice, WFN empowers a deeply intersectional movement across race, class, and gender. With nearly 40 years of impactful history, WFN supports women’s foundations and gender justice funders worldwide through strategies, research, and resources. The Director of Philanthropy will lead the development department, securing funds for general operations, pooled funds, and campaigns, managing the foundation grant portfolio, and expanding leadership-level donors. This role demands a seasoned fundraiser, strategic thinker, and entrepreneurial spirit with significant experience in the social justice nonprofit field.

The Director will drive WFN’s strategic growth by fostering donor relationships and leading innovative fundraising efforts. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive development plans, managing day-to-day fundraising tasks, and launching WFN's annual giving campaign. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong project management abilities, and a deep commitment to gender and racial equity and justice. Reporting to the President & CEO, the Director will have the opportunity to shape WFN's future and revitalize its approach to fundraising while working closely with a passionate team and a global community of supporters.
