Director of Philanthropy

Mt. Cuba Center is seeking a Director of Philanthropy to build and lead a comprehensive fundraising program from the ground up, with the goal of growing annual philanthropic revenue to $3M within five years.

This strategic leadership role involves developing multi-year fundraising strategies, managing all aspects of donor development (major gifts, annual giving, grants, and corporate sponsorships), overseeing membership programs, and serving as the primary Board liaison on fundraising matters.

The ideal candidate has 7-10 years of progressive fundraising leadership experience with a proven track record securing 5- and 6-figure gifts, preferably in museums, public gardens, or similar mission-driven nonprofits, along with strong communication skills, CRM proficiency, and passion for environmental conservation.
