Advance Native Political Leadership Action Fund is seeking a Director of Development to lead fundraising and donor cultivation across its 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) entities. Reporting to the Executive Director and serving on the leadership team, this role drives fundraising strategy, donor cultivation, and development operations to achieve annual and long-range goals. The Director collaborates with leadership to secure funding, build strong relationships with partners and funders, and advance the organization's mission to build power in Indigenous communities and protect tribal sovereignty.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of 501(c)(3) and 3+ years of 501(c)(4) fundraising experience, with demonstrated success managing a $5M+ portfolio and exceeding fundraising goals. They are a skilled communicator and team leader with proven experience in institutional fundraising, grant management, and remote collaboration. Strong organizational and management skills, along with a deep respect for and understanding of Indigenous cultures, are essential for success in this role.
Interview Timeline + Process
Dates to apply: Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Qualified candidates will participate in a series of interviews. There will be an invitation to submit a brief video, an initial screening interview with a recruiter, two internal one-hour interviews, and one 2-hour paid exercise over the course of six weeks.
