Deputy Director of the Community Ownership for Community Power (COCP)

The Deputy Director of the Community Ownership for Community Power (COCP) Fund will play a key leadership role in launching and managing a groundbreaking Integrated Capital Fund designed to advance community ownership of land and housing across California. Reporting to the Director of Housing Justice at Common Counsel Foundation (CCF), this two-year position (with strong potential for extension) will drive strategy, fundraising, stakeholder collaboration, and fund implementation to ensure capital reaches frontline communities building permanently affordable housing and land stewardship models.

Ideal candidates bring deep expertise in integrated capital strategies, a commitment to racial and economic justice, and experience navigating the intersections of philanthropy, impact investing, and grassroots community development. This is a unique opportunity to shape a visionary fund that is halfway to its $20 million pilot goal and positioned to scale to $100 million—building long-term power and equity through community-controlled capital.
