CYAP Intake Coordinator

Here at Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, we are looking to fill the role of CYAP Intake Coordinator with a JV/AmeriCorps member for the 2024-25 service year that begins in August. The Children and Youth Advocacy Program (CYAP) at Northwest Immigrant Rights Project provides legal assistance to immigrant youth in their immigration cases.
The CYAP Intake Coordinator will manage CYAP’s client intake process, where children and youth are given a detailed interview about their personal history. The Intake Coordinator will provide pro se assistance under the supervision of attorneys, and refer individuals to other resources for social service needs. The CYAP Intake Coordinator will also assist with case management and
intakes for young immigrants eligible for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, including gathering documents and administrative work for our monthly legal clinics.
Fluency in English and another language, preferably Spanish, required (additional languages are welcome).

Service Dates: August 5, 2024 through July 31, 2025

Requirements: JV/AmeriCorps members must be 21 or older on August 5 and cannot be married or have dependents. JV/AmeriCorps members commit to living in an intentional community alongside fellow volunteers.
