Communications Manager

Grantmakers in the Arts (GIA) is seeking a Communications Manager to join its team to join its team headquartered in the Bronx, New York. The position can be remote or hybrid, with occasional travel required. This position will report directly to the Vice President & Director of Programs; and will work collaboratively with other members of the GIA team, including the President & CEO, Director of Operations & Finance, and development and program colleagues.

The Communications Manager's responsibilities include the development of communication plans for GIA programs and information dissemination, including coordination of information from members and national partners. Further responsibilities include editorial oversight and promotion of GIA’s communication platforms, including website, news feed, social media, weekly member bulletin, and blogs; editorial support of the GIA Reader, including managing guest submissions alongside the VP; and management of communications and other items as needed related to the annual conference.
