The East Bay Community Foundation (EBCF), one of the nation’s first community foundations, has been a leader in advancing racial equity and social justice since its founding in 1928. Based in Oakland, a city known for its diversity and activism, EBCF manages over $600 million in assets and provides strategic leadership in grantmaking, impact investing, and donor services throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties. EBCF is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its financial strategy and operations during a period of transformative growth. Reporting to the President and CEO, the CFO will oversee financial planning, investments, compliance, and grants management while managing an operating budget of $10 million. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CFO will collaborate with the Board, investment managers, and staff to drive financial sustainability and innovation in philanthropic finance. The ideal candidate will bring 7 to 10 years of senior financial management experience—preferably in the nonprofit or philanthropic sector—along with expertise in fund accounting, donor-advised funds, and complex financial portfolios. EBCF offers a competitive salary range of $200,000–$225,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
