Philanthropy Massachusetts (PMA) is seeking a Program Associate, Special Projects and Initiatives to join our Executive Office and support the advancement of high-priority strategic initiatives. This execution-driven role is perfect for a skilled coordinator who thrives on managing multiple workstreams, delivering high-quality programs, and ensuring an exceptional member experience. Working closely with the CEO, Senior Vice President, and the broader Program team, you will play a key part in bringing PMA's new strategic framework-Learn, Engage, Act, Partner (LEAP)-to life.
Position details (from JD):
Reports to: Senior Vice President, Partnerships & Strategic Initiatives
Location: Massachusetts (Hybrid – 3 days/week in office including mandatory Thursday "all in" day)
Travel: Regular in-person meetings in Boston/Cambridge; occasional evening events aligned with programs and convenings; local, regional, and national conferences several times annually.
Direct Reports: None
Experience required: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience required in program coordination or operations, ideally in nonprofit settings.
Salary: $65,000-$70,000 (Firm), comprehensive benefits, retirement, and PTO

Key responsibilities include:
Coordinate planning and logistics for special projects and Executive Office-led initiatives, including scheduling, speaker coordination, marketing, and virtual/in-person event support.
Provide administrative, membership, and leadership support, including preparing materials for meetings and serving as a point of contact for member inquiries.
Maintain accurate data in CRM systems (Salesforce experience a plus), track participation and engagement, and support membership updates and renewals.
Contribute to cross-team projects and provide operational support during peak periods or major events.
Support the CEO and Senior Vice President on advancing special initiatives from the Executive Suite.
