This November, EPIP will be sending nine members as a delegation to the Facing Race 2016 conference from November 10-12 in Atlanta, GA.

Facing Race is a national conference is presented by Race Forward: The Center for Racial Justice Innovation. A unique collaborative space for racial justice movement making, Facing Race is the largest multiracial, inter-generational gathering for organizers, educators, creatives and other leaders. Facing Race offers local community unprecedented access to information and resources on racial equity, includes over 50 workshops and access to over 140 presenters.

All EPIP Members with active paid memberships are eligible to apply. Nine delegates will be chosen at random from the group who apply by the October 7 deadline.

Those chosen for the delegation will be provided registration, hotel for two nights and up to $300 of travel costs covered by EPIP. Following the Facing Race conference, applicants are expected to share a blog reflecting on lessons learned of the applicant's personal experience at the event for the EPIP Blog before November 21, 2016.

Within the application, we've asked you to please share your contact information but also articulate both why you want to join and what you hope attending the conference will allow you to do when you return home. Please complete the full form to be considered.

10/12 — Deadline for chosen delegates to confirm attendance*

*Spots not confirmed by October 12 by 11:59pm will be given to other applicants.
