Development Director

OUR MISSION

In a spirit of solidarity, we partner with communities in Bolivia and Paraguay to increase access to safe, affordable surgery and other essential health care.

 

ABOUT THE POSITION

  1. Develop and execute annual fundraising strategy to include support from individuals, foundations and corporations.

 

   Create plan for financial gifts from a wide base of annual individual donors, with special attention to donor retention and growing the donor base

   Create and execute a plan for major donors ($5000+ annual giving)

   Create a plan for organizational giving (foundation grants, corporate giving, etc.)

   Oversee annual gala and other special event planning

 

  1. Ensure accurate donor data entry and timely donor stewardship

   Oversee data entry for financial gifts and data reconciliation 

   Oversee thank you letters and other donor acknowledgement processes

   Create reports related to development goals

 

  1. Collaborate with Communications Director to achieve all development goals, donor stewardship, and community engagement

 

    Create and oversee Communications calendar including all annual appeals

    Provide input on various stakeholder messaging

 

  1. Actively participate in regularly scheduled office and zoom activities.

    Weekly staff meetings, annual board/staff retreats, strategic planning and bilateral meetings with Bolivian and Paraguayan partners.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

BA (required) MA, CFRE, CDE or similar preferred

Passion for Solidarity Bridge’s mission, comfortable working in faith-based environment

3-5 years of increasingly responsible positions in fundraising and development

Proven success in raising funds from individuals, foundations, corporate and/or government agencies,

experience with mid and major level giving preferred

Experience in managing special events preferred

Familiarity with donor management systems, Salesforce NPSP preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Ability to work with diverse groups of people in bi-cultural environment

Creativity and strong problem-solving skills, excellent organizational and managerial skills

Sound judgment, professionalism, and resourcefulness. Desire to grow professionally

Spanish proficiency preferred

 

COMPENSATION

$60-90k Salary  (5 weeks PTO, free health-dental-vision insurance, 403B employer contributions, hybrid working, and a team environment that is supportive of work-life balance.)
