CA Regional Coordinator (PT)

Established in 1990, AAPIP is a justice-minded national affinity group that provides unique community spaces for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders (AA and NH/PI), and allies in philanthropy. We are a membership-based organization that centers equity and justice in philanthropy to move money and build power of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities for an inclusive democracy. Anchored by national staff, AAPIP works across the country through a chapter network as sites of regional activism within philanthropy for leadership development, network building, information sharing, and place-based advocacy around issues impacting our communities and philanthropy.

ABOUT THE POSITION

AAPIP seeks a Regional Coordinator to support AAPIP’s work focused on the California philanthropic ecosystem.  Building on our Call for Solidarity and Collective Action and Collective Good Report, AAPIP will build the knowledge base within philanthropy that analyzes trends on donor organizing among giving circles and foundation partners in California to address the cumulative effects of philanthropic under-investment in Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities.

The Regional Coordinator will support and conduct landscape analyses on donor organizing both on the ground and within the philanthropic sector, aligned toward expanding and sustaining resources to Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. This will include identification of community-based assets, needs, and tipping points to strengthen the long-term infrastructure for donor organizing.  The Regional Coordinator will also be a key partner in supporting AAPIP chapters in California aligned with the work of our staff nationally to advance donor organizing and address the cumulative effects of philanthropic under-investment in the fastest growing racial group in this country.

COMPENSATION
