    EPIP Spring Member Gathering

Join EPIP for a quarterly member gathering - an exclusive spot for EPIP members to connect, vibe, share skills, and deepen their networks. This gathering is an evolution of our communities of practice model, where we provide identity-based skill building, healing practitioners, peer coaching that is specifically designed for those emerging in their leadership.

Whether you've been a consistent member of our communities of practice or are a new member looking for a space to connect, this space is for you. Our spring quarterly gathering will focus on the theme of: renewal. We'll spend time getting to know our peers, reflecting on what skills or practices need renewing at this juncture of our work lives (and in the sociopolitical climate), and we'll end with breakout rooms based on our communities of practice model: emerging women of color; a broader people of color space; and a white affinity space.

Skills for Inclusive Leadership: Building Your Advocacy Toolkit (Member)

In an era marked by overlapping crises, it can be easy to feel stuck or overwhelmed on whether or what meaningful difference we can make. However, there are countless ways to step in to work towards change at the organizational, coalition, or field level. In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn some of the soft skills needed to pursue “little a” advocacy. Participants will come away with a clearer understanding of their role in social change work, how to translate their values into action, and where they may want to deepen their advocacy skills moving forward.

This workshop is designed for all roles and experiences within the philanthropic ecosystem, not just those working in policy / advocacy roles.

This workshop is being led by Ankita Patel, Principal & Founder of Rooted Confluence Consulting.

Ankita Patel is a mission-driven executive leader with over 15 years of experience advancing democracy, equity, and systemic change through public policy, grassroots organizing, and philanthropic strategy. Anchored by her lived experience as an Indian-Zambian immigrant woman, and the first in her family to obtain a law degree, Ankita brings a holistic approach to leadership — fusing vision, strategy, and relational organizing to build power alongside BIPOC, queer, trans, immigrant, and other historically excluded communities.

Ankita’s career has spanned executive roles in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, where she has designed and scaled community-led civic infrastructures, driven public-private partnerships, and forged cross-sector collaborations for long-term systems change. She is a trusted strategist and organizational leader, inspiring leadership at every level and cultivating cultures rooted in shared values, emergent strategy, and collective liberation.
