Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy DC is a DC-based network created by and for young professionals in philanthropy who want to connect around their common interests . The group offers opportunities for peer networking, professional development and social interaction. EPIP-DC has planned a variety of networking, professional development and educational events in 2012, and will continue to do so in 2013. Recently, EPIP DC has organized Social Impact salons and Emerging Leader salons featuring leaders in the philanthropic community in the DC area. EPIP DC has also sponsored networking happy hours and lunches to provide a forum for professionals to connect to one another. EPIP DC consolidated the Steering Committee as a team in early 2012 and underwent their first strategic planning process, which mapped out their one- and two-year goals.
