Introduction to Social Justice Philanthropy
A Dialogue and Networking Event

May 19, 2004
6:00-8:00 PM
Hosted by Merrill Lynch

EPIP New England sponsored a conversation about the history, roots and changing definitions of social justice philanthropy. This event featured an emerging grantmaker who has experience moving a change agenda from concept to reality within foundations, as well as a scholar of social change and public foundations, who has practical experience as a foundation trustee. Through these speakers, the event highlighted both practice and theory.

The event also featured small group discussions about challenges and opportunities for establishing social change values and practices within various forms of organized philanthropy.
