The Conservation Science Program Officer is expected to work closely with
the Foundation’s Conservation Science Advisor, Foundation staff, and with
scientists, grantees, policymakers and consultants to effectively carry out the
Foundation’s Strategic Framework. The Program Officer’s work falls into four
broad categories: 1) developing and implementing the Foundation’s
conservation science goals and strategies; 2) asserting leadership that
furthers the Foundation’s interests in conservation science issues; 3) advising
and collaborating with Foundation staff and grantees; and 4) preparing and
delivering reports or other presentations to the Foundation Board, staff and
external audiences.
