Grants and Impact Manager(BF)

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Battery Powered is a member-founded, member-funded program of The Battery, a San Francisco social club. The program is designed to help members explore themes, share ideas and activate their generosity to spark lasting change. Each trimester, the Battery Powered community tackles a new theme, representative of some of the biggest issue areas of our time. Over the course of the trimester we hear from experts and organizations on the front lines of some of society’s toughest challenges, and at the conclusion of each theme, members vote to financially back a selection of organizations.

Since its inception in 2014, Battery Powered has allocated over $10M and awarded funds to over 40 organizations that are making society stronger.

This is an extremely exciting time in the evolution of the Battery Powered program.  The program was conceived, developed and operated in conjunction with Amplifier Strategies and has now reached a level of maturity that it is time to develop an internal team; the Grants and Impact Manager will have a key role on this team.

The Battery Powered program has garnered a reputation as one of the most innovative and successful giving programs of its time. Its popularity has resulted in a world-class donor circle, growing at an impressive pace. This success, coupled with The Battery’s positive reputation, gives the program strong convening power to draw both well-known experts and celebrity presenters to amplify its voice. This is genuinely a cutting edge model for giving.
