Foundation Relations Manager (AHF)

Started in 1981, the American Himalayan Foundation (AHF) works to balance both innovation and tradition by partnering with visionary local individuals and organization to bring shelter, safety, education, health, and opportunity to people in need who have no one else – whether girls at risk of being trafficked, children with disabilities, or refugees.

The Opportunity:

The American Himalayan Foundation seeks a Foundation Relations Manager focused on pursuing and securing funding from private and family foundations, community foundations, donor advised funds, and governments to support AHF’s work in the Himalaya region. The Foundation Relations Manager seeks to cultivate and steward funders who are similarly aligned with AHF’s philosophy of impact in its grantmaking.

AHF seeks a relational and collaborative self-starter with broad knowledge of the non-profit funding ecosystem. Candidates will have experience developing and submitting a wide variety of grant proposals, practical knowledge of best practices for structuring and writing proposals, and demonstrated success submitting grant proposals that get results.

Candidates must have a minimum of seven to ten years of professional experience, with three to five years’ relevant experience sourcing and securing foundation and institutional funding.
