Civic Engagement for Justice: A Discussion with the Environmental Health Coalition about the Barrio Logan Community Plan
Please RSVP (dinner will be provided)
FREE for EPIP-SD members
$15 for non-EPIP members
Jump start the new year with a discussion of how local civic engagement and community organizing efforts address social justice in our region. Join EPIP-SD and special guest Environmental Health Coalition (EHC) in a learning tour about the Barrio Logan Community Plan and equity in our neighborhoods.
Through leader development, organizing, and advocacy, EHC improves the health of children, families, neighborhoods and the natural environment in the San Diego/Tijuana region with campaigns that provide cumulative impacts of environmental, social, political and economic vulnerabilities. Since 1980, EHC has defended people’s rights to live in healthy and sustainable communities. They empower people, organize communities and achieve justice.
