Philanthropy can often be a check-writing exercise – the mechanical act of responding to the countless solicitations that arrive at our door. But it can be much more. Join us for an evening of lively discussions and activities designed to give you concrete tools for finding more satisfaction through your giving. There will be lots of interaction with your U35 peers to learn from each other how you can make the most impact with your giving.
This free workshop will help you to think about your giving more strategically and will include an exploration of the following questions:
- How can my interests, values and experience guide my giving?
- How can I learn about and evaluate nonprofits?
- What strategies are available to me, including understanding how to fund advocacy and systems change approaches?
- What collective giving models exist locally, and how can I get involved?
