From the Ground Up: Influencing Public Policy through Civic Engagement

Politics got you down? Spurred to participate in a movement but not sure where to start? Interested in developing personal advocacy skills? If your answer is yes to any of these questions please join us for From the Ground Up: Influencing Public Policy through Civic Engagement.

Join EPIP Los Angeles for a nonpartisan, interactive event that will equip you with the strategies and tools necessary to influence policy from the ground up. This session will feature tactics aimed at understanding how the mind of an elected official works. These strategies and tools can be used to advocate at all levels of government, in any issue area. We will also feature a panel discussion about the pathways and pressure points of civic engagement on a local level, all while enjoying a light dinner.

Whether you wish to advocate for policies that affect your community or the nation, this session will give you a practical framework to take action and be empowered.
