Why: Increase skills, gain ideas, and build relationships to increase the effectiveness of your chapter and your own leadership
When: Wednesday, July 22 - Friday, July 24, 2009
Registrants are encouraged to travel on July 21 to ensure a well-rested start and to participate in special pre-Gathering activities on the morning of July 22. However, primary programming will begin mid-day on July 22, enabling
travel that morning if needed.
Where: Detroit, MI
As philanthropy works to address the economic crisis and the numerous social issues it brings into sharper focus - EPIP will convene at Detroit, in the heart of the crisis. Our local foundation colleagues are preparing incredible
learning opportunities to help us understand philanthropy's responses. In addition, we will be joined by foundation CEOs and senior philanthropic leaders from across Michigan to learn about this state's robust philanthropic landscape.
Housing:The Inn at Ferry Street. EPIP has reserved this Bed and Breakfast, composed of four beautiful Victorian homes in walking distance to our meeting space.
Registrants need not make housing reservations; we will assign a room to you when you register for the Gathering. (In the off chance that we run out of rooms at the Inn, we will help you find nearby housing.)
How:Registration is on a sliding scale. Registering at higher levels helps EPIP cover costs, and enables participants who cannot afford it to attend
at lower rates. The rates are as follows:
Movement Builder ($500.00)
Community Builder ($250.00)
Chapter Builder Rate ($150.00)
Ally [One-Day Rate] ($75.00)
UPDATE! Thanks to the generous support of the Kresge, Lumina, and Skillman foundations, and the Council of Michigan Foundations, EPIP is able to underwrite the cost of lodging for two nights at the Inn on Ferry Street. We do this to
help make costs
If you are a chapter leader or would like to start an EPIP chapter, but cannot afford all the related expenses, please apply for a scholarship using this online Scholarship Application.
Please Note: The registration system asks for your flight reservation information. Have no fear! If you don't have flights arranged when you register, be sure to save your RegOnline login, and return later to update this information.
