The one time each year that philanthropy presents a powerful front to lawmakers in the nation’s capital is Foundations on the Hill (FOTH). FOTH is an opportunity to share personal stories of grantmaking impact, as well as views and concerns on relevant legislative proposals, directly with lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
Understanding the importance of engaging Next Gen leaders with legislation that impacts philanthropy, the Council and EPIP are so excited to announce a collaboration for FOTH 2013, March 19-20, where EPIP will serve as the Next Gen Advisers. EPIP members who will be participating in FOTH for the first time are encouraged to apply for a stipend to help cover the costs of FOTH! In addition to having the event registration fee waived, the stipend will also cover travel and hotel costs associated with the event.

If you have further questions, please contact the Council of Foundation’s Legal and Public Policy Department (703-879-0689) or Rebecca Schumer (212-584-8249) at EPIP.Now that the election is over, it is time for us to partner and go down to Washington to make sure our voice is heard. Be sure to sign up for Foundations On The Hill and join forces with your Regional Association, EPIP, The Forum of Grantmakers, and The Council on Foundations.
